Overview
The Fhoto Albuhm is a silent album. Malik and his team take a single source, an album or a film, and translate it into a sequence of photographs. The images carry the story on their own, and the viewer hears the music or remembers the scene while looking at them.
Each Fhoto Albuhm is a companion piece to a documentary, going into the details and aesthetics of the backgrounds, locations, and important objects in the source. The finished work is a gallery presented online and in person, sold as prints and as a bound photo album, with the poems collected as a written companion.
